ArosaAkademie
The ArosaAkademie emerged from Arosa Tourism's "Arosa 2030" sustainability strategy in 2021. It serves as a central contact point in Arosa for those hungry for knowledge and those who impart knowledge. It teaches content on ecological, social and economic aspects of sustainability. The ArosaAkademie offers a wide range of events that focus on the sustainable use of the Alpine environment.
What issue does your project address, and why do you want to tackle it?
The ArosaAkademie plays a key role in education and awareness-raising in the field of sustainability. Our aim is to inspire and encourage people to actively contribute to a more sustainable world through targeted educational programmes. By promoting the conscious use of natural resources, we want to show that tourism, travelling and enjoyment are possible without sacrifice. Sustainable tourism thus becomes a reality that respects and protects people and nature in equal measure.
What is your project about and how does it make tourism in the Alps future-proof?
The ArosaAkademie develops and promotes future-oriented offers through courses, excursions and lectures to raise travellers' awareness of sustainable practices. We want our guests to enjoy the beauty of the Alps and learn how to protect it. Our events impart knowledge about environmentally friendly practices, the importance of biodiversity and the protection of Alpine habitats. In this way, we contribute to making tourism in the Alps future-proof and resilient.
How do you measure your project's success?
The success of the Arosa Academy is measured by various criteria. A key indicator is the number of bookings for our courses and events. Equally important is the increasing willingness of potential providers to develop and offer programmes, which shows the growing interest and commitment to sustainability in Arosa. Positive feedback from guests and their active participation in dialogue and discussions are also important criteria for success.
Who are the people behind the project and what is your secret to a great collaboration?
The ArosaAkademie is a result of the Arosa 2030 sustainability strategy. Every knowledge provider is given the opportunity and support to offer a programme. Our project thrives on the enthusiasm and commitment of the participants. The success lies in motivating people to exchange ideas and pass on their knowledge. This creates a lively, constantly growing network.
